HISTORY OF THE FIRM

The firm was formerly known as D W Georgeson & Son and was formed in 1887 by Daniel Wares Georgeson in the busy fishing port of Wick. The firm was inherited by Daniel's son, Harold, after distinguished service in the First World War.

In the 1960's Harold took on a Partner, Tom P Buick and subsequently a young Solicitor, Robert Hamilton. After the retirement of Harold, Robert died a young man in tragic circumstances and a year later Tom retired leaving Bruce as a sole Practitioner with Jean MacLennan as an Assistant Solicitor.

Jean was rapidly taken into the Partnership and subsequently retired on the 31st October 2001. She continued as a Consultant to the firm until the end of May 2002.
